ABOUT US

At Myung Martial Arts we train students in World Taekwondo (WF) and International Taekwondo Federation (ITF). The owner and head instructor of Myung Martial Arts in St. Augustine, Florida is 4th Degree Black Belt, Master Christen Gates. She continues to train under Grandmaster Hojung Myung, 7th Degree Black Belt. Master Christen began training with Master Myung when she was 8 years old. Why train with Master Christen?

passing down a legacy to all

Pictured below is me in Seoul, South Korea at the World Taekwondo Headquarters, the Kukkiwon with my dear friends and instructor Master Myung. I started learning the art at age 8 and teaching at age 14. It’s become way more than a quest to earn medals at tournaments or pedigree from belt rank. Studying martial arts is a way of life from which you develop as a person. Taekwondo can be your life long hobby. My program and pricing caters to families and inherently people of all ages. It’s a place where you can make new friends and strength family bonds.
